The employment record book will continue to serve as the official certifying document for circumstances recorded therein up to June 1, 2025.
It is explicitly stipulated that the initial data in the newly established electronic register will be entered by the National Revenue Agency (NRA) based on the register of employment contracts.
This means that all data submitted through the Notification under Article 62, Paragraph 5 of the Labour Code should be available in the new register.
It remains to be clarified exactly what historical information will be included in the new register regarding employment prior to June 1, 2025, and whether it will be valid as proof of service for that earlier period.
However, there is no legal obligation imposed on employers to transfer or enter employment service data from the employment record books into the new register after June 1, 2025.
